Great Black and White Photographers 3

1. When I first saw Carleton Watkins photos what first caught my eye was the places that he had photographed are all outdoors places I have never been. The water really drew me in when I saw both of these pictures.

2. When I look at these pictures I see the beauty of outdoors. I see the water used in both pictures inviting and I want to swim. I smell the fresh air and the crisp scent of water all around me. When I look at  these pictures I hear the birds outside and the sounds of nature all around me and again I can hear the ripples of running water.  I can taste the water in my mouth as I emerge from a swim in the bottom picture and I can taste the berries I picked from one of the trees as I canoed down the water before I took a swim. I can feel the energy of the outdoors I can feel the grass and leaves from the trees in the bottom photo and again I can feel the cool crisp cold water with my hands as I dip them into the water that is all around me.

3. I would like to create a power point to show off the photographs of Carleton Watkins and share his work with others.
